Jewelry care and usage
Care for your handmade jewelry as you would for any delicate keepsake. Do not sleep, swim or sunbathe with your jewelry. It is also recommended not to do vigorous exercise in your jewelry to minimize exposure to body oils and perspiration.
Unfortunately, some people have a high level of acidity and it may cause some stones and chains to fade. Do not leave your jewelry in direct sunlight.
Most stones are quite strong, but try to avoid dropping or banging your jewelry against hard objects as some stones may crack or break.
Store your handmade jewelry as you would for any delicate items. Keep chemicals, perfumes, makeup and lotions away.
Make sure your hands are dry when handling your jewelry.
Crocheted necklaces and bracelets
1- Make your necklace longer: -put on necklace. Use the extender to the desired length.
1A- Make the bracelet longer: gently pull starting in the center of the bracelet.
2- Mould and/or make your bracelet shorter: Put on your bracelet. Starting at the clasp, gently 'pinch' the wire around your wrist using your thumb and index.
DO NOT TWIST WIRE!
3- Moulding the necklace to your neckline: -put necklace on.
Gently press around the necklace to shape it to your neckline.
***Before storing your necklace, you could push beads in to 'reshape' it (if you feel it needs it). Hold your necklace with both hands, and gently push beads in using both thumbs. Lay it fat in your drawer.
SteamPunk style 'assembled' necklaces
I basically sew this type of necklace with copper. It is fragile. Gently press down on it to mold it to your neck. Make sure not to twist it and keep it flat in your drawer.
